When visiting El Adobe, you can expect to experience not only mouth watering dishes but also a little history. El Adobe pioneers Cody and Noweta Miller have been in the restaurant business for decades. It began in 1954 when they opened Hutch's, a 24-hour diner in Gila Bend, Arizona. "They say it was the place to stop between Tucson and Yuma at the time," said Marcia (Powell) Miller, who is Cody and Noweta's daughter-in-law and current El Adobe co-owner / operator. The business in Arizona carried on successfully for several years until Cody and Noweta decided it was time to return to Oklahoma. Now, the Millers and a dedicated staff continue to offer delicious Mexican dishes and terrific service, in keeping with the high standards set by Cody and Noweta the day it opened more than 40 years ago.
